Associate – Technology Coverage Banking

Business Overview:

Client Coverage is at the heart of CIB and is the foundation on which the BNP Paribas North America corporate relationship franchise is built. Coverage bankers provide clients a single point of contact to access the resources afforded by BNP Paribas’ global product offerings and extensive international network, delivering the highest quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Keep the RMs and Senior Banker up to date on all developments (financial and otherwise) with clients
  
• Own the pitch book presentation
  
• Maintain databases of client and industry-wide financial information (including internal CRM system Client Link)
  
• Perform financial statement and capital structure analyses of clients
  
• Create strategic presentation materials for both domestic and international review
  
• Develop product understanding and expertise with product specialists
  
• Work with product teams to identify opportunities for clients
  
• Provide lending support to the RM in their regular marketing/calling program
  
• Assist in preparation of marketing materials for RMs
  
• Act as the principal back-up of the RM vis-à-vis clients, management, the business lines and other departments of the bank
  
• Assist in KYC/Onboarding/re-certifications of clients
  
• Contributing to the initial credit assessment to determine the opportunities worth pursuing; this should entail
  
• discussing the proposed facility with his or her team leader and relevant product specialists
  
• Working in close co-operation with the RM to perform the credit analysis, complete the credit proposal and
  
  assign a rating to the client
  
• liaising with Risk and Legal (internal/external) to properly structure and document the transaction
  
• Work on ad hoc projects and deals as needed
  

Qualification:

Minimum:

• At least 3 years of previous work experience in commercial or corporate banking
  
• A broad corporate finance skill set
  
• Excellent financial modeling skills
  

Preferred:

• Previous experience within the technology industry
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
• A proven track record of effective project and transversal task management
  

FINRA Registrations Required:

• Series 79 and 63
