Job Description

The Corporate Strategy Group supports all JPMC lines of business and staff areas on a project basis, addressing topics at the top of senior management agendas. Projects include developing growth strategies, assessing and planning market entry, and managing cross-line of business initiatives. Projects are typically team-based and include heavy interaction and collaboration with senior executives across the Firm. Our focused group of about 20 professionals comes directly from top strategy consulting firms, other internal JPMorgan Chase groups and leading undergraduate and graduate programs. The group reports to a member of the JPMC Operating Committee.

The Corporate Strategy Group team works with JPMorgan Chase’s Operating Committee members, other senior leaders and the lines of business to address a range of critical initiatives for the firm. The group reports to a member of the Operating Committee of JPMorgan Chase with a focus on key projects that have firm-wide impacts.

Reporting into the Head of HR Strategy, the Associate will work on enterprise level project teams in solving complex HR problems critical to the human capital discipline. S/he will develop HR operating models, demonstrate strong understanding of change management and deliver a multitude of transformational people-related global initiatives. S/he will have a keen interest in utilizing analytics and data science to improve efficiency and / or enhance the employee experience. Key projects include: global campus transformation, payroll optimization, standardization of performance management, and big data analysis initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to not only help define HR strategy but also partner effectively with business, finance, and technology areas to bring about meaningful change on a large global scale.

Responsibilities:
Assisting in developing and implementing critical HR initiatives and projects

Play a role in developing best in class HR strategy team

Analyzing technology trends and identifying opportunities for HR

Restructuring and enhancing organizational design to improve effectiveness

Defining structure, roles and responsibilities, governance and overall HR operating models for new corporate functions and committees

Assessing impact of new regulations and trends on the firm’s people agenda and strategy and approach

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience working on Strategic Human Resources organizational transformation (either advisory or in house)

MBA or other advanced degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree required

Strong interest and demonstrated track record of executing HR strategy projects that deliver impact and generate new and innovative insights

Broad knowledge of HR polices, practices, disciplines and the full employee lifecycle

Advanced ability to closely partner with senior managers and other critical stakeholders

Experience influencing decisions and investments of senior management

Executive level communication skills

Exceptional judgment, demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing alternative solutions in a fast paced environment
