ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL AID

The Associate Director is responsible for ensuring the University’s compliance with Title IV federal regulations; coordinating the training of new Financial Aid Office staff members; overseeing the electronic sharing of information required in the Federal Stafford Loan Program; and performing the disbursements of financial aid to student accounts. The Associate Director assists in gathering information and compiling reports with the Director of Financial Aid, advises and counsels students, determines financial aid eligibility, monitors student academic progress requirements, and performs packaging of student financial aid and scholarships. The Associate Director represents the University as a student advocate who is committed to helping students find educational success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in student personnel administration, business administration, or related field; plus two years of work experience in a financial aid office. Candidates with SCT/Banner experience and/or the ability to write and converse fluently in both Spanish and English are preferred. Demands of the position require the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the required duties; a broad knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs and accounting practices; knowledge of higher education processes; and excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.

SALARY:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
