Pavilion Alternatives Group Limited, a wholly‐owned subsidiary of Pavilion Financial Corporation providing investment consulting services across alternative asset classes including private equity, private credit, real assets and hedge funds, seeks an Associate for its Client Advisory Team based in Sacramento, CA.

Pavilion Alternatives Group assists clients in investing in a wide array of strategies across asset classes, industries and geographies, in various formats including commingled funds, secondaries, directs/co-investments and client-driven separately managed accounts. The alternatives team features over 80 professionals serving clients globally from Europe, Asia, Australia and North America. It currently advises and provides customized solutions on $130 billion of committed capital for global clients including corporate and public pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, healthcare organizations, insurance plans, endowments, foundations and family offices.

Pavilion Alternatives Group is currently seeking an Associate to join the Client Advisory Services team. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and play a crucial role in all aspects of serving our clients. This full-time position offers excellent growth potential with hands-on exposure and interaction across leading investors and participants in the alternative assets space.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing support for detailed due diligence on private equity fund, direct investment, co-investment and secondary investment opportunities, including quantitative and qualitative performance analysis
  • Performing extensive financial analysis and modeling in a variety of private equity related areas including asset allocation, investment pacing, risk management and valuation
  • Analyzing investment manager, fund and portfolio company financial statements
  • Completing in-depth market, competitor and strategy research
  • Drafting investment memoranda and preparing other reports and financial analysis
  • Maintaining our investment database
  • Assisting with advice analysis and report requests from clients relating to private equity
  • Interacting with clients, general partners, and other industry participants

Qualifications:

  • A relevant university degree in business, economics, accounting or finance
  • 2-3 years’ experience at an investment bank, investment management or finance oriented consulting or advisory firm

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate and solve problems with minimal guidance
  • Self-initiative, motivation and ability to improve operations
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to deliver a consistently high level of service and performance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and sometimes stressful environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools, particularly MS Excel
