Pay Rate Information

This position is represented by the Teamsters union and starting pay is $32.90/hour . This position is eligible for step pay increases and potential progression increases. Please reference the Teamsters’ collective bargaining agreement located at:

Role Summary

To supervise the Customer Service Center (CSC) function and assist the Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer in the execution of their duties, by supervising CSC staff, programs, and operations.

Essential Duties

  • Supervise the Customer Service Center function
  • Ensure effective and efficient customer interactions with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Evaluate staff performance
  • Schedule and audit all Customer Service functions ensuring that City policy is being followed appropriately
  • Ensure that training and motivational needs are provided to Customer Service staff
  • Implement appropriate programs and tools to improve performance
  • Review and evaluate technological advances with the Financial Operations and Control Analyst and recommending changes
  • Troubleshoot technological and procedural issues
  • Assist with collections
  • Manage Utility Improvement Charge processes
  • Assist with the management of the City’s Risk Management activities
  • Assist with the management of parking related programs and activities
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of the CSC’s annual budget

Related Work

  • Keep the Treasurer, CSC staff and other Service Area staff informed of pertinent issues
  • Respond to staff and customer needs and concerns verbally and in writing
  • Perform general supervisory and training duties including scheduling personnel and other resources
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Training and Experience

Required:

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Public Administration, Accounting or related field
  • Experience supervising others: at least 1 year

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Public Administration, Accounting or related field
  • Financial Management background

Related Titles: City Treasurer, Municipal Treasurer, Finance Manager, Accounting Manager, Budget Analyst, Financial Analyst, Office Manager, Administrative Manager, Deputy Treasurer, and Treasury Supervisor.
