The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Michigan State University is looking for an Assistant to the Director for Football Camps. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Serve as Camp Director for MSU Summer Camps, the Women’s Clinic and Youth Clinics. Work closely with the Summer Sports Camps Office, Human Resources, Residential Education and Housing Service (REHS), Athletics Training and Office of Compliance Service (OCS) to ensure NCAA, Big Ten and University Policies; Manage and coordinate all mailings regarding football camps and maintain deadlines with the Summer Camp Office and compliance with NCAA rules including organizing camp itineraries and brochures with specific deadlines in conjunction with the Summer Sports Camp Office and attending all camp related meetings with Summer Sports Camps Office, REHS, OCS and Human Resources; Hire and manage staff for summer camps by working closely with Human Resources, OCS and Summer Sport Camps Office to ensure all background checks and hiring protocols are completed within specific deadlines; Direct and coordinate on-site registration for summer camps in conjunction with Summer Sports Camp Office; Assist Summer Camp Office staff with reconciliation of daily camp registration. Handle cash, checks, registration materials and other required documentation (i.e., concussion forms) within University guidelines and Summer Camp Office deadlines; Coordinate High School Coaches Clinics; Assist the Director of Football Operations and the OCS with players guest tickets for home and away games; Reports to Director of Football Operations and an assistant coach; Other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and the Director of Football Operations.

Support Staff: Minimum Requirements

Masters Degree and 3-5 years of experience in NCAA or NFL or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least three years of experience managing youth camps. Knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to adhere to the policies, rules and regulations of MSU, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.
