Assistant Media Strategist, Brand Connections

Role Overview:
The Assistant Media Strategist role is responsible for assisting in the design and development of strategic brand recommendations, as well as their execution across the digital and linear TV landscape inclusive of web presence, digital advertising and social.

The Assistant Media Strategist role is highly collaborative and will act as a liaison between the Media Strategy Team and clients, sales, creative, product, editorial, analytics, and social activation to ensure success at every step. Success in this role rests on an eagerness to learn the business/industry, as well as the ability to independently identify areas where the team needs the most support.

Responsibilities (Included but not limited to the following: )

  • Assist and participate in the development and delivery of all strategic deliverables including research, analytics, audience profiling, user personas and strategies for multi-platform brand initiatives, including print, linear TV and digital media campaigns, branded content executions and more.
  • Work in collaboration with clients, accounts and analytics teams to develop program KPIs and reporting structures for brand campaigns.
  • Prepare and manage media buy authorizations and contracts
  • Setup and execute media programs in collaboration with Program Management, Creative and Production
  • Monitor digital metrics, make optimizations and assist Analytics in preparing client wrap-reports
  • Student of the industry, keeping up on the latest in trends, and emerging platforms or new elements of existing platforms that can be incorporated in digital & connection strategies and campaigns.

Skill Set & Qualifications

  • College experience or Internship in related field (digital advertising / media / publishers or agencies)
  • Experience in client relationships or presentation is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • High aptitude for managing expectations
  • Solutions Oriented: propensity to solve matters rather than dwell on the problem at hand

  • Exceptional organization skills
  • Intermediate or advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with platform analytics tools such as YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, and Facebook Insights would be a plus
