To be appointed TA, candidates must be permanent in the title of Assistant Mechanical Engineer.

Compensation

OA:

Non-represented: $58,382 – $76,176

Represented: $59,324 – $77,404

TA:

Represented: $59,324 – $77,404

Responsibilities

Under supervision, performs mechanical engineering or project commissioning work of moderate difficulty and responsibility; reviews contract drawings and specifications; reviews submittals and transmittals.

Education and Experience

1. A baccalaureate degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in mechanical engineering work; or

2. A baccalaureate degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college and a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college

Desired Skills

Familiarity with design, construction and construction methods. Knowledge of software applications related to capital design and construction management. Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering standards and practices. Knowledge of CADD/BIM.

Selection Method

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview.

All selected candidates will be subject to a full background investigation that includes employment and education. Discrepancies may lead to dismissal.

Appointment may be at a comparable level to current level of selected candidate (if necessary).
