Food Stylist/Cook Assistant

HelloFresh is in search of a Food Stylist / Cook Assistant to join our Brand Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and food preparation, working under the Food Stylist to execute recipes and food stylings to scope and specification.

He or she will be responsible for managing and maintaining multiple, simultaneous tasks—many of which can be complex in nature—ensuring adherence to project scope and direction.

You Will…

Will prepare, plate and present food for photo shoots under the direction of the food stylist

Work closely under the direction of the food stylist and studio team to meet ambitious shot lists

Responsible for prep and on-schedule delivery of prepared food for each shoot

Work directly with the in-house studio team, along with working with a variety of regular and new freelance photographers, prop stylist, and assistants on set to creatively and efficiently complete shot list delivery

Management of weekly grocery order and ad hoc shopping as needed

Assist in errands and other requirements on shoot days

Responsible for the organization and tidiness of kitchen

Potential for recipe development and writing, but not required

You have…

Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience

Considerable cooking experience required, either on-set or in a restaurant

2+ years on-set food assisting experience

Demonstrable food styling experience

A love of cooking and a willingness to be creative in the kitchen

Cheerful, team player with a positive attitude for achieving common goals

A collaborative mindset and creative, open minded problem solving skills

Empowered self-starter, with excellent time management and organizational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computing

An ability and willingness to always be the calmest person in the room

Tenacity in follow-through, helping the team to achieve their goals at every step

Impeccably organized with a careful attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
