Reporting to the Executive Director and Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the purpose of this position is twofold: first, promote the institution within assigned territory to successfully increase the number of prospective students enrolling in and graduating from Sacred Heart University as well as meeting the recruitment and retention goals identified by the College’s Strategic Plan. Additionally, this position will be responsible for developing and executing recruitment communications which focus on prospective undergraduate students, prospective parents, and school counselors.

Duties include:
Recruitment Communications Responsibilities

Develop, review and revise messaging for recruitment of full-time freshmen, transfer and part-time students.

Enhance prospective parent and counselor communications.

Compose email messages, letters and content for print pieces.

Develop expertise in utilizing Slate CRM for the planning and execution of communication strategies.

Assist in development of brochures and other print materials.

Assist in managing Web site content for UG admissions office.

Assist with social media marketing.

Assist with admissions operations functions as needed.

Recruitment Responsibilities

Meet application, acceptance, and enrollment goals in assigned territory and support admissions staff by providing coverage in other territories when needed.

Visit all private, prep and appropriate public schools in assigned territory.

Represent SHU at college fairs as well as on- and off-campus recruitment events.

Maintain consistent contact with inquiries from territory through telecounseling and email.

Maintain contacts with applicants to assist in converting them to enrolled students.

Heavy travel for 3-6 months per year. (Predominantly non-overnight)

Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by the Director/Executive Director.

Utilize Slate CRM throughout the recruitment process.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and valid driver’s license required.

Two or more years of undergraduate admissions experience within the communications/recruitment function.

Excellent writing and editing skills.

Expertise with MS office.

The successful candidate will be a team player, who is goal driven and detail-oriented.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Additionally, the candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task.

Experience working with Slate CRM is preferred.

Writing sample required.

Additional Information:
Extensive weekend and night work will be required.
