Assistant Controller/Controller, Banking

Chicago-based Community Bank is seeking suitably experienced banking candidate to assume various accounting/finance management responsibilities.

Duties to include: Preparation, Review or Analysis of Bank’s financial records, month-end closing, general ledger activities, accruals, loan schedules, regulatory reports, liaise with external auditors, provide ad-hoc financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, assist with supervision of staff, work with the CFO and executives on strategic, process-improvement or growth initiatives.

Seeking 4-10 years of experience. CPA strongly preferred. Would consider a strong public accounting senior/mgr w/ a banking or financial-services focus; or somoene currently in a similar role with another small/mid-size bank or credit union. Seeking someone with upside. Clear room for growth in responsibilities, promotion and compensation. Nice culture, high visibility to executive management.
