Assistant Controller

The Lincoln Journal Star is seeking an experienced and hands-on financial professional to join our staff. Ideal candidate will be able to multi-task daily, accept a wide variety of responsibilities, and provide backup to multiple positions.

Applicants should have related accounting experience to include general ledger, month end processes, annual budgeting, internal audit processes, revenue billing/tracking, accounts payable, payroll, 1099 processes, and sales tax knowledge. Computer applications experience with Microsoft Excel, excellent customer service skills, and analytical skills are required.

Ability to be an effective leader working with multiple levels of employees throughout the organization is required. Preference will be given to those with a bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting and a CPA.
