Architectural Design Technician 1

The challenge? Help provide safe, sustainable water solutions for our clients and communities worldwide. The Corvallis office of CH2M has an immediate opening for an Architectural Technician.

Our Architectural Technician career path is your chance to work on Water projects that focus on Architectural design. Each day you will work with a team of technicians, architects, and engineers to create CADD models, drawings and other project products using software tools and resources supporting our clients’ overall project goals.

Qualified candidates will have 1 to 3 years of CAD experience with Microstation and AutoCAD and a two year technical degree. 3D BIM modeling, experience with Microstation AECOSim Building Designer is preferred. Experience creating visualizations (rendered images and animations) is preferred. You should be a well-organized, detail oriented, team focused and self-motivated professional with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each assigned project.

Our Architectural Technicians:

• Work with architects, engineers, automation leaders, and project managers to determine and produce project construction documents and deliverables.
• Create layouts, design drawings, and sketches using 2D/3D modeling and electronic document files.
• Strengthen individual skill sets by becoming familiar with and employing detailing requirements and CH2M CAD standards, best practices, and procedures.
• Utilize their CADD and design skills, along with other firm provided resources to create detailed drawings of products which meet and exceed our clients’ expectations. The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• A two-year degree in Computer Drafting and Design
