Job Family Description:

• Designs, analyzes, develops, codes, tests, debugs and documents programming to satisfy business requirements.
• Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as proficient in multiple design techniques.
• This position should typically be used for an advanced or lead level resource.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The ideal candidate will primarily be responsible for build and management of Java Applications, Hadoop platform and Data Engineering.
• The candidate would be hands on engineer that can install and evaluate Big Data products.
• The candidate would have to support an existing Java application.
• Candidate would be expected to be subject matter expert in this area and be able to take ownership for product related questions.
• Candidate should be able to onboard new users, evaluate security integration of the product and work with product vendor for upgrade/fixes.
• The candidate will have solid technical documentation skills to complete Permit to Operate required documentation.
• 7+ years of IT experience.
• 2+ years experience in Hadoop preferred.
• 4+ years of Java experience preferred.
• 4+ years experience with ETL with tools like Informatica, Data Stage, Ab-initio, Nifi, Paxata or Talend required.
• Experience working with multiple Relational (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 etc) and NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) preferred.
• Experience with Data modeling, Data warehouse design, development.
• Experience with Data Wrangling tools is preferred.
• Exposure to Sentry, Cloudera Manager, Hive, HBase, Impala preferred.
