Job Title: Application Analyst (EDI)

JOB SUMMARY

Application Analyst activities including: Design, develop, implement and maintain EDI-centric business applications and data automation processes. Leverage knowledge of common EDI transaction sets (850, 855, 810, 856, 894, 812, 945 and others). Key liaison between all the internal Business Units, external Customers and EDI developers. Other responsibilities include designing and creating SQL stored procedures and user-defined functions, base understanding of ERP and Order Management Systems, and ability to write functional and technical specification documents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions

• Independently troubleshoots, isolates and resolve problems across multiple EDI/integration areas including mapping, connectivity with EDI trading partners.

• Troubleshoots integration with applications such as ERP, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Warehouse Management System (WMS) etc.

• Create and modify maps, processes, functions, SQL queries, SQL stored procedures based on business requirements.

• Work with business stakeholders to understand, refine and document EDI processes.

• Develop implementation plan for new EDI transactions with current or new trading partners.

• Design new processes to match new EDI documents as per existing business partner’s requirements or new business partner’s onboarding.

• Coordinate with trading partners and test all changes to EDI maps, processes etc. and production rollout.

• Monitor EDI system for various kinds of failures, resolve issues and reprocess documents as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Microsoft SQL Server experience (2008 to 2014 preferred).

• Basic Report Writing (SSRS or Crystal Reports)

• Database-related development skills (complex SQL queries, complex store procedures and user-defined functions in SQL Server)

• Base understanding of ERP, Warehouse Management, and Order Management Systems

• Solid analytical skills and problem solving skills with the ability to formulate and communicate recommendations for improvement.

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, as well as the ability to present and explain technical information in a way that established rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage projects in a cross functional environment.

Desired

• 4 years of progressive experience with EDI.

• Strong understanding of FTP, AS2 and VAN setups and monitoring.

• Office machines (e.g., copy machine, printer, typewriter, computer terminal, adding machine, etc.)
