Application Support

Our client, a premiere investment bank, is looking for a Production Support professional to join their growing technology team in Raleigh, NC. This is an exciting opportunity for a high energy “do-it-all” individual to join Application Support Group. Repo IT is distributed across the Americas (Raleigh and New York), Europe (London) and Asia Pacific (Singapore and India).

Role & Responsibilities:

In this role, you will have responsibility for Production facing support for Repo and Margin services in Raleigh. In addition you will work collaboratively with development and support teams to help automate and streamline our operations and processes.

Minimum bar:

– Soft skills, of dealing with business users and multiple issues.

– Strong technical background in scripting and writing SQL.

– Motivated, with a strong sense of urgency.

Desired Skills:

• A good mix of Production support experience and a strong technical background.

• Innovation oriented individual.

• Strong background in scripting on Windows / Unix shell / Perl

• Strong experience with databases, Sybase or Oracle.

• A working understanding of code (.Net or Java)

• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-available service

• Willingness to learn new businesses and functions

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment is essential.

• Excellent communication skills and inter-personal skills

• Flexible to learn new skills and do whatever is required to “get the job done ”

• Results-oriented, goal-driven, highly analytical, pro-active and detail oriented.

• Ability to work on multiple projects at once – Demonstrates professional development.

• Strong technology background including related degree and experience.
