Application Development Analyst Entry, I or II

Under direct to broad supervision (dependent on level), provides analysis, design, development, and ongoing support for the implementation of short and long term I.T. solutions to facilitate business process needs through existing and new applications. The selected candidate for this position will be a member of a team which supports one of our EAM/ERP systems.

Often involved in modifying and/or developing (dependent on level) or adapting existing designs and interfaces and/or integrations for in-house development or 3rd party software.

Participates in incident/problem analysis, solution development, action planning, implementation coordination, and evaluation.

Reviews/determines I.T. requirements and business processes, codes, tests, debugs, and coordinates the implementation of minor to complex software solutions (dependent on level).

Work entails repetitive development and/or project based (dependent on level) in support of the business

REQUIRED SKILLS

Knowledge of:
Object Oriented Programming

Skills in:
SQL

Ability to:
Communicate effectively and build working relationships

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:
BS in related field or equivalent combination of education, relevant certification(s) or information technology experience.

Experience:
Entry (Non-Exempt) – 6 months demonstrated information technology experience and proficient in SQL.

Level I (Exempt) – 2-3 years demonstrated information technology experience and proficient in SQL.

Level II (Exempt) – 4-5 years of demonstrated professional information technology experience and proficient in SQL.

Prefer

Proficient with Java/Groovy or similar languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, Smalltalk

Experience developing Web services using Next Axiom Hyper Services Studio, Tibco

Proficient in XML

Experience in creation of Crystal Reports

Familiar with Linux/Unix OS

Experience with shell scripting

ERP/EAM application developer support experience (ABB Asset Suite, Oracle e-business, PeopleSoft, etc.

Experience with COBOL.
