Application Developer – Oracle PL/SQL, Officer

Looking for:

Accomplished, result-oriented, self-motivated, analytical, and organized PL/SQL Developer with excellent programming skills, having experience in all stages of SDLC, using variety of software development methodologies, including Agile.

To be successful the candidate shall have the following Experience and Skills:

• Experience in implementation of business application using Oracle Relational Databases in Oracle (12c, 11g, 10G, 9i, 8i) and related Oracle techologies and untlities.
• Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL coding dealing with and custom data structures like collections, varrays and object tables.
• Expertise in structuring code using Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers using Oracle PLSQL Development tools like Quest Toad for Oracle, Oracle SQL Developer, etc.
• Expertise in SQL-98 and -93 writing different types of SQL queries including sub queries, hierarchical queries, co related queries, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to perform requirement analysis, contribute to requirement discussions with end users, and convert acquired knowledge into actionable code design. Good writing skills to record/document mapping between business requirement, application’s expected behavior and code design.
• Solid understanding of architecture and data analysis and modeling. Ability to read and understand complex data models. Exposure to data and architecture modeling tolls like ERWIN, UML and BPMN, and related tools.
• Solid understanding of physical database design for OLTP and OLAP systems.
• Hands on experience on ORACLE database tuning, SQL performance tuning, on using SQL Plan baselines, AWR, ASH, and DBMS_Advisor oracle APIs and performance tuning of PLSQL code.
• Hands on experience on maintaining performance levels via DB maintenance by using Oracle APIs like DBMS_SPACE, DBMS_STATS, UTL_FILE, DBMS_UTILITY,UTL_ SMTP and DBMS_SCHEDULER
• Hands on experience on maintaining object and data level permissions to address security aspect of application data.
• Hands on experience on software configuration management tools like IBM Clear Case, Clear Quest
• Hands on experience in Agile project delivery methodologies.
• Good exposure to unix/linux shell scripting.
• Exposure to ETL tools and practices to move data into data warehouse and maintaing large amounts of data.
• Exposure to AUTOSYS and other enterprise-whide schedulers
• Ability to follow firm standards and protocols
• Proficciency with MS Visio.
• Knowledge of financial industry (especially accounting domain) and competency in current financial IT industry and technology trends.
• Java and .NET are plus.
• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related discipline
• 10+ years of experience.
  

Essential Functions:

Design and develop high quality software for our internal clients. This includes:

• Participate in definition and implementation of end-to-end solution and architectures for strategic business initiatives.
• Maintain and enhance, test and document the existing integrated software product using multiple technologies (and multiple programming languages).
• Analyze, design, and implement (program / code) system enhancements and new interfaces.
• Conduct proofs of concept for emerging technologies and alternative solutions for business related issues.
• Diagnose, isolate and implement remedies for system failures. Provide technical support to end-users and resolve user issues with a positive attitude to enhance end user experience while troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Work as part of the team with minimal supervision and collaborate with other teams.
• Plan and execute turn-overs, deployments and environment synchronisations. Actively participate in post deployment checks.
