Application Developer – Mainframe

As an Applications Developer, you will work with business and Information Technology (IT) leadership to understand IT business strategy and their implication to applications under responsibility. You will be accountable to Business and Technology Management for end to end application scoping, planning, development, implementation and post-implementation maintenance and support. You will also provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs, Develops and Tests Mainframe (COBOL, CICS, DB2) Code in the support and implementation of US Liquidity systems and projects
  • Responsible for ensuring code has a high degree of quality and implements with zero defects
  • Will act as support backup for handling production calls related to applications
  • Ensures code for applications adhere to architecture standards, risk management and security guidelines
  • Work with Service Delivery Team to diagnose and address underlying system problems and inefficiencies
  • Work with third party suppliers
  • Aid management in communications
  • College degree, prefer in Information Systems or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of relevant development life cycle experience in systems and applications management including systems/application design
  • 3+ Years Mainframe design and development responsibilities (OS/MVS, MVS utilities, CICS, DB2, IDMS, BATCH, JCL, TSO, ISPF COBOL, COBOL II)
  • Basic understanding of US Liquidity business & technology
  • Strong teamwork skills
