Position Definition

Job Title: Application Developer

Department: Technology and Information Services

Reports To: Operations Manager

SUMMARY

The Application Developer will work with a cross-functional team to create features for internal applications and integration for third party software. Generally be responsible for design, review, analysis, development, testing, debugging, documentation, and maintenance of applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and development of applications in VB.NET, C#, and vbscript.
• Design and development of database queries, and stored procedures.
• Work with users to gather and document business requirements.
• Support, maintain, and enhance applications to satisfy business requirements.
• Create and modify reports using Crystal Reports or SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Support production systems by resolving user requests, troubleshooting issues, and preparing solutions.
• Maintain and develop internal SharePoint 2013 sites, workflows and integration.
• Develop system design specifications including database, business logic, user interfaces, use cases, screen layouts, roles and responsibility matrices, and state models.
• Organize, implement and document test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
• Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Tech Skills: Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, VB.NET, and vbscript. Has worked with XML, web services, and Microsoft SQL Server. Demonstrated understanding of system integration techniques.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree or equivalent from an accredited college preferred; 2-4 years experience as an application developer.
