**Responsibilities**

The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for an **Application Analyst, Mission Aligned Business** in our **National Center** office located in **Dallas, Texas (remote/home based is acceptable)** .

The Application Analyst is the SME of the following systems supporting AHA Mission-Aligned Business (MAB) operations: Phoenix (currently under development), eCards, and Instructor Network (the primary systems). In addition, those primary systems have integrations across the broader MAB ecosystem, requiring interaction with other Application Analysts and Managers that cover the following systems, including but not limited to, Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM), eLearning, eBooks, ShopCPR, Distributor integrations and Class Manager. Ensure that each system within primary responsibility meets the requirements of the AHA Business Technology (BT), MAB staff and end users. The Application Analyst will act as the main liaison for the AHA and all the above systems as they relate to ECC business, vendors and customers, which include assisting with completing SOW’s and conducting regular internal and external meetings to ensure system performance and maintenance needs are met. This position will also be responsible for gathering requirements to determine enhancements, improvements and issue resolution(s) for the assigned primary systems. The Application Analyst will also provide a combination of Level 1 and Level 2 customer support to internal staff and external users for each system. In addition, this position will ensure that the data reporting is timely and of high quality and that the system(s) have a high “ease of use” and also works with the user community on their needs so they can be simplified.

**Essential Job Duties: **

+ Provides analysis and administration of Phoenix (currently under development) and eCards on web-based Software as a Service (SaaS) application(s). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: application testing, administrative setup, product rollouts, security, workflow, schedules, maintenance and configuration. Will also need to understand the various integration points and fulfillment platforms being able to manage and triage related issues with the respective vendor or Application Manager/Analyst.

+ Provides tier 2 service and support through various channels (such as email, ticketing systems or other web-based communications for Phoenix and eCards.)

+ Provide customer support by conducting system trouble shooting and interacting with both internal and external users. Monitoring issues submitted via email, phone or any method and escalated to this position.

+ Troubleshoots and conducts technical analysis to resolve problems with Phoenix and eCards and peripheral integrations. Escalates issues and concerns to management, application vendor or developer(s) to resolve.

+ Plans and organizes application modification projects including gathering business requirements, identifying resources, designing and coordinating testing amongst various business resources, and participating in scheduling and implementations support.

+ Hold periodic meetings with the user community to gather requirements, address system issues, access, and timeliness of AHA user actions with regard to open items.

+ Conducts quality assurance and testing during application upgrades and product releases while ensuring the AHA customizations remains intact. Identifies and resolves issues with new release.

+ Provide and maintain project and system documentation, user guides, and trainings guides. Conduct training as well as develop “train-the-trainer” programs. Communicate to all interested parties on bug fixes and enhancements to available systems.

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree in related business or technical discipline or equivalent experience.

+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience with business application support, management and administration.

+ Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of technology and languages behind assigned application.

+ Understanding of and familiarity with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, XML, REST APIs or other programming languages as required by application assignment. Will not need to write but may need to troubleshoot.

+ Ability to communicate and coach application users with advanced customer service skills.

+ Excellent facilitation and communication skills. Willingness to reach out to staff, volunteers and customers to proactively share information, knowledge, expertise, and time with others to achieve common goals.

+ Must be able to gather and analyze data, collect user needs and requirements, reason logically, and make appropriate recommendation.

+ Excellent organizational skills
