General Job Description

Managerial and coordinating work directing the Contract Administration Section of the Agency of Transportation. Incumbent oversees a work force of engineers, technicians, professionals and clerical support staff in preparing, processing, and executing construction, consultant, finance and management, bridge, railroad, maintenance rental and utility contracts. Work is performed under the general direction of the Director of Finance and Administration.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution AND four (4) or more years of experience involving contract administration and transportation facility design, maintenance or construction process, INCLUDING two (2) years of supervisory experience.

OR

Master’s degree in engineering, business or public administration, or a related field AND two (2) or more years of experience involving contract administration, maintenance or construction process, INCLUDING two (2) years of supervisory or contract administration experience.

OR

A law degree is considered qualifying.

Preferred:
Graduate level work in contracts, in an administrative or business related field.
