Antisense Oligonucleotide Production Planning Analyst

External Posting Title Antisense Oligonucleotide Production Planning Analyst Job Description This position will provide production and raw material supply planning in support of the antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) development and production operations. The production planning activities are necessary to ensure clinical supply requirements are met. Cross functional collaboration and project management / scheduling approaches will be required to develop short and long term production plans, resource utilization analyses and capacity planning models. The raw material supply planning will include the development and implementation of a robust raw material supply for the ASO portfolio assets. Cross functional collaboration will be required to identify the raw material sourcing strategy, risk management models, inventory management and material qualification. Project plans will be developed and managed to insure timely completion of the critical raw material qualification activities.

Position Activities:
1. Develop short-term (up to 18 months) and long-term (up to 10 years) production plans. Assess current capabilities (resources and capacity) to insure production plans can meet the supply requirements.

2. Develop production capacity planning models for ASO Synthesis operation. This model can be used to test different demand planning scenarios.

3. Develop a raw material sourcing strategy. Partner with Global Sourcing to utilize the Oracle risk management model as an input into the raw material sourcing strategy.

4. Develop inventory management scenarios with input from Global Sourcing and Research Triangle Park Materials teams. The analysis will includes both on-site and off-site storage options as well as safety stock recommendations. Prepare a cost-benefit analysis for raw material pricing versus different inventory management scenarios.

5. Develop project plans for the qualification of new critical raw material suppliers (Phosphoramidites, PADS & DCA). Work with the ASO technical and analytical development team to develop a project plan based on the technical and qualification requirements. Provide project management support during the execution of the project plan.

  • Motivated to work both individually and within teams, communicate results to individuals and groups
  • Able to utilize problem solving skills to be adaptable with projects
  • Candidates with recent relevant internship/co-op experience preferred Education
