Analyst, Tourism

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of project management for the tourism practice and oversee software platform
  • Assist with coordination, writing, design, research and/or production of reports, presentations and all clients deliverables
  • Monitor key tourism trends, sales indicators, performance statistics and related topics through tools such as STR, US Travel Association and other third party resources.
  • Participate in client meetings and calls as needed to support all aspects of a project as needed.
  • Perform the stated research functions based on secured scopes of work
  • Monitor and update the internal databases for tourism practice outreach efforts
  • Coordinate calls and scheduling for team member engagements across a variety of clients.
  • Utilize communication and project planning tools to synchronize tourism team efforts.
  • Contribute to the successful execution of other research and marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Support primary research efforts in conjunction with the Global research team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in tourism research, destination analysis, business journalism, and/or administrative environment with strong writing and analytical background.
  • Team player with good team spirit and positive attitude.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Self-starter attitude with ability to manage workload independently and report out.
  • Well-organized and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to plan own work priorities and demonstrate initiative.
  • Flexibility to adjust priorities in response to rapidly changing circumstances/deadlines.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong client focus.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality.
  • Advanced proficiency in Word for Windows, PowerPoint and Excel.
