Analyst Summer Intern – Health

Program Overview

Our Internship Program allows students to gain valuable experience in the healthcare actuarial field, as well as in a dynamic health care environment. Through actuarial careers with Milliman, Inc., you will have the opportunity to help drive the future of health care, by finding ways to make health care more affordable more valuable to the public.

Highlights

Interns will be assigned two various mentors who will serve as resources throughout the program

8 weeks of paid work ($25/hr) on various actuarial topics including Milliman tools, research projects, and client work

Including housing stipend of $250 per week

Student participate in real-time work, in a team setting alongside actuaries with various levels of experience

Final evaluation include a presentation to senior management and provide two-way feedback

Qualifications

Current enrollment in an accredited college or university (typically as a junior or senior, or attending graduate school

High GPA (or a combination of experience and GPA)

Participation in an actuarial science, economics, risk management, finance, math, or statistics program

Commitment to an actuarial career (pursuing actuarial exams, attendance at actuarial conferences, etc.)

Effective teamwork and written/verbal communication skills

Exams

It is not required that you have passed an exam to participate as an actuarial intern; however, we would prefer applicants to have one or two passed exams.

Summer 2017 – June 19th, 2017 thru August 11th 2017
