Analyst, Financial Analysis

GENERAL SUMMARY

Prepares and reviews a variety of basic financial data and assists in maintaining and updating company financial models and forecasts. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs basic analysis to support forecasting for several aspects of the company’s financial performance. Assists in communicating reforecast procedures and parameters to functional controllers. Assists in review of actuals vs. forecast and investigation of material variances. Perform ad hoc requests for analysis of financial data. SKILLS Strong computer skills. Sense of urgency. Ability to multi-task. Accountability. Attention to accuracy. Financial and analytical experience.

Principal duties and responsibilities:Analysis:

• Compiling, analyzing, and preparing data used to understand business processes and operations. Interprets and reports data findings to senior management
• Proactively looking for opportunities/efficiencies within GPO
• Developing and maintaining KPI?s that assist in measuring business performance

Business partnership:

• Developing a sound understanding of the business process/activities associated with business partner’s scope
• Challenging/Influencing business partners when appropriate to make decisions that are right for EMC
• Preparing, presenting and communicating recommendations to the business and finance

Close and Forecast:

• Data driven accurate forecasting
• Completing close activities and variance analysis with commentary
