Analyst, Energy Services

This position works as part of the Customer Group – Energy Services Team and will provide support to the Strategic Account Executive, National Account, and Electric Service Teams; Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire. Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing and maintaining reports for performance metrics, staffing analyses, and public utility report requirements, communicating routine reporting; whether daily, weekly, monthly, or adhoc, special project support, policy and procedure administration, oversight and compliance.

  • Tracks and reports on Customer Group projects and initiatives.
  • Tracks and reports on new service work orders/work requests.
  • Develops and maintains Customer Group staffing analyses Analyzes processes and work flows for efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance.
  • Provides support services unique to the Account Executive, National Account, Distributed Generation, and Electric Service Support Teams as needed Supports development and maintenance of the three-state work management system.
  • Displays ownership and accountability Ability to develop and analyze excel spreadsheets, and financial modeling skills Will have emergency storm assignment.

Technical Knowledge:

Must have comprehensive knowledge of customer systems; PASSPORT, STORMS Work Management System, C2. In addition, must have comprehensive knowledge of Power Plan, and various data mart and data warehouses. In depth knowledge and experience with performance reporting. Proficiency with PC desktop applications; Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Proficiency with programming or demonstrated programming aptitude (COBOL, SAS, ACL, SQL). Demonstrated presentation, negotiation, and communication skills; oral, written, interpersonal. Ability to work with financial models and perform financial analysis. Strong analytical and investigative skills. Ability to work under time constraints and emergency situations.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance, or the equivalent is required.

Experience:

Five years of customer service related experience including strong business acumen

Demonstrated knowledge of Utility regulations, statutes, company policies, work practices and procedures

Licenses:

Must hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
