Analyst (Chicago, IL)

This is a financial valuation position, performing valuation analyses of ongoing business entities, an assortment of intangible assets, certain business agreements, different tranches of debt, and equity positions and classes using an income, market and transaction approach and / or option-pricing models. Assignments consist primarily of valuations performed for gift and estate planning, M&A transactions, capital investor requirements and financial and tax reporting, including purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment studies, business enterprise and common stock valuations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct company, economic and industry research;
• Participate in client meetings and calls;
• Gather and analyze data, and build financial models;
• Present / support results to clients and peers;
• Write narrative reports; and
• Assist engagement team members to prepare the appropriate responses, documentation, analysis, and support to address inquiries from clients, auditors, corporate advisors, and other regulatory bodies

Job Requirements:

• 1-2 years of work experience in valuation, finance or accounting;
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or business administration;
• Advanced, working knowledge of Excel and Word;
• Strong oral and written communication skills and superior analytical capabilities;
• Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) designation (or in the process of obtaining same) is a plus
• Applicants must have unrestricted authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.
