For our North American headquarters, located in La Mirada, California, we have an immediate opening for an Agile Project Manager.

Summary

The Agile Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, organizing and motivating agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering agile projects that provide exceptional business value to others. May be responsible for managing several concurrent, highly visible projects using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing large and/or complex enterprise-level projects consisting of multiple Agile teams
• Lead and manage QA responsibilities for the internet development team; developing and implementing a plan that will ultimately allow QA to be handled within the development team itself.
• Acting as a consultant to help place the appropriate people, processes and tools
• Coaching members of the team as needed to optimize the efficiency of the project team
• Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value
• Organize and lead project status and working meetings
• Prepare and distribute project reports, manage risks and issues and correct deviations from plan
• Perform delivery planning for assigned projects
• Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments; removing roadblocks to their work and leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work
• Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications and helping to implement an effective system of project governance
• Develop and manage a well-defined project management process and be the champion for ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile and Scrum Project Management
• Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution
• Encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality and work/life balance for the team
• Travel
• Other projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in written form
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle models
• Expert knowledge of Agile, Scrum and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions
• A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methods
• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing complex projects in a high tech environment with multi-function teams
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
• PMP preferred
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server software (TFS)
• Superior knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Excel & Word
