Administrative Technician

In this position, you will provide operational, technological, and administrative support functions for our Real Estate Services (RES) office. Essential Job Functions – the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:

Prepare monthly statistical reports; reconcile and prepare billing statements and invoices, including invoices and receipts in PeopleSoft

Provide technological support for a fast paced office; maintain the City’s real property records, databases, and real estate software

Serve as the administrator of the division’s website

Conduct real property research; conduct research in connection with the master list for the City’s real property assets

Serve as the first point of contact for the RES office for walk-in traffic, telephone contact, and directing inquiries accordingly

Order office supplies and perform related duties as assigned We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

Knowledge of:
Real estate transactions, real estate law, ownership and title reports, real estate documentation

Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations

Proper English usage, spelling, punctuation, and grammar Ability to:

Complete projects accurately and on-time

Strong attention to detail skills

Multi-task, function well under pressure, and meet various deadlines

Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing

Establish and maintain effective working relationships

Be a self-starter Ideal candidates will also demonstrate:
Five years of experience in an increasingly responsible support role, including gathering and analyzing data, database management, and/or other land information software programs.

Experience which demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

Colorado Real Estate License and Notary Public in Colorado.

Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids: Computer, printer, copier, telephone, and standard office equipment.

Specialized Computer Equipment and Software: Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft

Fiscal Responsibility: This position prepares accounting, budget, purchasing documents; and does research to justify language used in documents for a unit or division of a department.

Relevant Background and Formal Education:
High school diploma or GED supplemented by additional specialized training in secretarial sciences, accounting, or other related field.

Three years of full-time administrative support, secretarial, clerical, and/or accounting experience.

Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
