ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST I

This position will provide information and directions to visitors of Cobb County Government Building A, provide administrative assistance for the County’s secured access control systems, and assist the Human Resources department as needed.

Salary

$12.31 – $19.70 per hour

Essential Duties

Greets visitors of Cobb County building, provides information on where to obtain County services, and directs to the appropriate department and/or staff member.

Serves as receptionist for Human Resources Department as needed, by assisting walk-in visitors and using multi-line phone system.

Creates employee identification cards.

Assigns access to secured county facilities, using enterprise security access system. Define and manage identities and access controls (i.e. provisioning / de-provisioning, privileged access management, authentication / authorization, etc..)

Responsible for running access control audit reports.

Provides administrative support to staff members.

Commits documents to enterprise document management system by preparing documents for scanning, performing data entry, indexing documents, and ensuring quality control of documents entered.

Receives, records, and prepares receipts for payments received; performs data entry for financial recording and reporting; performs daily counting and cash drawer balancing of all monies transacted.

Identifies solutions for modified administrative and procedural operations to promote increased efficiency in the work unit and, as applicable, to overall department operations.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED ; supplemented by six months to one year previous work experience demonstrating ability to perform essential functions of the work; experience must demonstrate general computer literacy; prefer experience in a municipal or other public agency that provides broad knowledge of public administration systems; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience.

Depending on area of assignment, may require valid Driver’s License and/or Notary Public.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience serving as a receptionist in a high volume area is a plus.

Experience using Avigilon Access Control Manager or other access control software is a plus.

Experience using OnBase or other enterprise content management system is a plus.

Physical Requirements

While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and lift and/or move up to 10 to 20 pounds. While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is rarely exposed to disagreeable environmental factors.
