Accounts Receivable – Medical Billing Clerk – Biller Healthcare – Insurance – Claims

Medix is currently hiring for an Accounts Receivable Specialist with one of the top rated therapy groups in the Shawnee, KS area . This opportunity offers the flexibility to grow and enhance your medical billing knowledge as well as your experience in a medical office!

While we are looking for someone with at least one year of experience, identifying an individual with the right intangibles for the role is our top priority. Accounts Receivable responsibilities:

• Call various insurance payers (government and commercial) and collect on backed claims, some date 3-4 months
• Utilizing CMS-1500 forms for submitting claims
• Checking status of claims
• Expectation of working through 20 claims per day
• Utilizing EZClaim for billing
• Answering calls and directing them to correct department
• Scheduling appointments

Requirements:

• At least one year experience in accounts receivable
• Must be able to file alphabetically
• Comfortable with calling on and collecting payments
• Experience with multiple insurance payers
• Ability to multi-task
