Accounts Payable Specialist

Minimum Requirements

Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field with two years’ of related experience OR High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization with four years’ of accounting/financial support experience Departmental Requirements – Knowledge, Abilities, Skills Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft Financials Well organized, high degree of accuracy, and attention to detail Ability to research, reconcile and resolve payment issues; analyze complex issues and take appropriate corrective actions; adhere to internal control requirements, procedures and department processes Ability to manage multiple priorities; interact with co-workers, vendors, and customers in a professional manner; take initiative Ability to work independently in a team environment; maintain confidentiality

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business or related field Relevant experience with, and understanding of, Peoplesoft Accounts Payable Module or SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning System) Familiarity of contract administration Proficient in all Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the accounts payable/travel administrative function for GCHC. These duties include, but are not limited to: payment request analysis, voucher input and processing, account research and resolution, audit of employee reimbursements, direct bill payments; cross-train and back up DJJ accounts payable/travel as needed; and other duties as assigned.

Shift/Salary

Shift: Days/M-F Pay Grade: 10 Salary: $13.19/hr – $14.79/hr Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position Recruitment Period: 6/20/18 – Until Filled
