Accounting Specialist

In addition to providing top tier fuel to the motoring public in the Greater Houston Area, Austin, San Antonio and Oklahoma markets, we also own and operate QMart — a proprietary convenience store line built with modernity and technology at its core.

NWP is now seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our company.

Education and Experience

• 2-3 years of General Accounting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Sage experience preferred
• Ethical Conduct
• Time Management
• Organization Skills

Summary/Objective

The Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.

• Verifies items billed against items drafted from the banks accounts
• Enters, updates, and/or retrieves data from automated systems
• Posts financial data to appropriate accounts
• Reconcile bank statements against general ledger
• Determines content and assembles data in order to prepare monthly reports for review
• Prepares and maintains spreadsheets for numerous activities (banks, sales tax, property tax)
• Auditing all accounts in all entities
• Other duties as assigned
