Schedule: Full Time
Provides financial information by maintaining and assisting with reconciling accounts and preparing reports, and provides accounting support to major financial accounting areas. May assist with preparation of financial statements and support schedules according to organization timelines. May assist with the monthly close procedures. Prepares account reconciliations and supporting sub-ledgers as directed according to established processes and procedures. Acts as a resource to the Accounting Department in working closely with Sr. Accountant Analysts and/or Controller to perform assigned tasks. Takes initiative to identify concerns and work with the leadership of the department to resolve accounting items. Uses existing processes and timelines to ensure appropriate work is being completed on an accurate timeline.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- One year experience in accounts payable, accounting or related field.
- Experience with Accounting software, spreadsheet applications, excel, preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting rules and policy and procedures in typical financial services industry roles
- Solid Excel skills, excellent math skills, detail orientation and organization skills, and exposure to automated accounting systems
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with customer service focus
Light Work – exert/lift up to 20 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently.
