Accounting Services / Lead Analyst

Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Process transactions by established deadlines after thorough review and interpretation of the substance of each transaction
  • Assist in assigned financial reporting functions of Accounting Services
  • Assist in the maintenance of the HSCEP fund structure and finance system to support accurate accounting records and the preparation of accurate financial reports
  • Produce and maintain complete, well-organized documentation of transactions, processes, reports, financial research and all applicable work paper for assigned functions
  • Works with department leaders and staff in resolving and researching accounting issues related to their department needs
  • Reconcile financial activity and resulting balances to ensure accuracy of HSCEP accounting records
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus four years progressively responsible related experience OR a combination of education and experience to equal eight years

Position Specific Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounting and budget

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with experience in higher education are strongly preferred

Pay Statement
