        has an *immediate* opening for a highly motivated Accounting Clerk II in support of a Federal Law Enforcement client located in Arlington, VA and the D.C. Metropolitan Area. The successful candidate will support all professional and technical services to the law enforcement unit . In addition, the successful candidate will report directly and responsively to the Bennett Aerospace Program Manager on all immediate project work

        Job Description:

        A qualified Accounting Clerk II will perform one or more routine accounting clerical operations, such as: examining, verifying, and correcting accounting transactions to insure completeness and accuracy of data and proper identification of accounts. Completed work is reviewed for accuracy and compliance with procedures.

        Responsibilities:
        Duties may include providing administrative support as follows:

        • Checks that expenditures will not exceed obligations in specified accounts
        • Totals, balances, and reconciles collection vouchers
        • Posts data to transaction sheets where employee identifies proper accounts and items to be posted
        • Codes documents in accordance with a chart of accounts
        • Follows specific and detailed accounting procedures
        • Performs other duties as assigned.

        Qualifications:
        Education and Experience:

        • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
        • Must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
        • Requires knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices as well as particular principles relating to government contract accounting practices and regulations
        • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
        • General knowledge of Information Technology systems and Communication tools

        Abilities and Skills:

        • Must possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills .
        • Requires ability to read and interpret written information and effectively communicate verbally and in writing where information includes precise information and terminology.
        • Requires strong interpersonal skills.
        • The ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume, tight deadline environment.
