Accounting and Finance Associate

We’re seeking an entry level finance support role who can join our team full-time to support our Finance department. You will work directly with our team in the operations of the department through assisting with data management, reconciliation of LA activity and budgets, as well as being the point of entry for transactional activity into our accounting systems.

You’ll be joining a fast-paced, professional, and entrepreneurial environment in our exciting Manchester based office, where you’ll have the opportunity to grow with the company, work with a talented team, and help bring the Launch Angels brand to new universities across the country. Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a college graduate with at least a Bachelors in either Accounting or Finance
  • Strong willed and able to prioritize across many tasks
  • Eager to learn and grow your skillsets.
  • Have strong writing and computer/technology skills
  • Are willing to proactively solve problems, pitch-in and adapt with a growing start-up environment

  • Excellent work ethic with an ability to work both hard and smart

  • A high level of poise and professionalism
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills matched with an optimistic outlook
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prevent and catch errors
  • Ability to juggle and multi-task across one-offs and larger, long-term projects
  • Strong writer and communicator and an even better listener
  • Ability to be analytical and not only solve problems without much guidance but anticipate and fix issues
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically a high level of Excel understanding
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Ability to learn new systems, equipment, and be able to adapt/pivot quickly

Bonus points if you….

  • Are entrepreneurial
  • Have at least 1-year experience in a similar role
  • Are comfortable with or have experience with CRM software (Hubspot preferred) and Docusign

Responsibilities

  • Department level administrative duties as needed
  • Transaction entries into the various accounting systems (Hubspot, QuickBooks, Excel)
  • Reconciling various accounts (AP/AR, Budget, Expense accounts, etc)
  • Assist with Audit, month end, and year end preparation
  • Investor data maintenance
  • Investor document preparation
  • Processing electronic bank deposits
  • Basic Journal Entry posting
