Accounting Analyst I

Position:

Financial accounting, analysis and reporting including general accounting and reconciliations, intercompany accounting, cash and bank reconciliations, SOX compliance and special projects for a global manufacturing company.

Responsibilities:

• Financial accounting, analysis and reconciliations including income, expenses and capital expenditures and fixed assets.
• Analyze, investigate and resolve accounting and control issues in accordance with company policies.
• Prepare and analyze financial records and reports.
• Prepare, review and input journal entries for month-end close.
• Prepare account reconciliations and analysis including cash and bank, intercompany and general ledger.
• Analyze variances, communicate results and provides support to operational areas in understanding and managing variances.
• Participate in continuous improvement and champion best practices and improvements to transactional accuracy.
• Perform SOX controls.

Education, Experience and skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
• Minimum two years experience in accounting/financial analysis.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system preferred.
• Advanced excel skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented, well organized and tenacious.
