CLASS TITLE: ACCOUNTING ANALYST

BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform a variety of complex accounting duties related to State, Federal and Local regulations, GASB and GAAP. Complete complex statistical data analysis, prepares State and departmental reports detailing results; develop and utilize analytical tools and models for the analysis of accounting data. Provide training and work direction to assigned staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or management or related field, two years experience in related accounting work and experience with advanced techniques in the use of computerized spreadsheets.
