Accountant III

General Accounting will perform general accounting and ledger activities for Equifax companies and ensure the financial accounts are accurate and in compliance with US GAAP and Equifax policy. They will directly interact with accounting and finance teams on a regular basis.

The position will (1) prepare monthly journal entries;

(2) participate in monthly close and forecast processes;

(3) prepare monthly account reconciliations and analyses as prescribed by established deadlines and procedures;

(4) evaluate processes and controls for effective operation and recommend and implement improvements;

(5) assist in completion of audit deliverables; and

(6) perform ad hoc projects and analyses.

Requirements and Capabilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, CPA preferred
• 3 to 5 years of related experience in accounting
• Strong analytical and modeling skills with the ability to work independently on complex data issues and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and financial responsibilities to meet goals and objectives
• Ability to quickly interpret data, summarize key information, and present issues or findings to team members and/or offshore admin team
• Ability to interact with offshore Admin Team
• Experience working in a team environment
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of Hyperion products suite (HFM, Essbase, and Oracle) preferred.
• Large multi-national experience preferred
