• Position Summary:

  This position provides advanced accounting functions including financial and statistical analyses, consolidation as well as monthly review and analyses in areas specifically assigned and subsidiaries including Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation, Children’s Homecare Group, and Children’s Dimension Insurance Company. Is integral to the monthly general ledger financial closing and reporting of Children’s operations. Relies on education, experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May provide training, guidance and support to lower level financial positions. Has a degree of creativity, latitude and uses independent judgment to accomplish goals.

  Qualifications Required :

  Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5 years of accounting experience. Demonstrated proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office including advanced MS Excel. Ability to function proactively in a demanding environment. Sporadic overtime throughout the year to meet project deadlines, as well as monthly and annual reporting deadlines. The position interacts with all levels of staff at Children’s requiring the employee to be diplomatic in dealing with those personnel. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or MBA, including candidates working toward these designations preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.
