Accountant – General Accounting

L. F. George is an under and above ground equipment dealer and is one of several affiliated divisions dedicated to the sale, rental, and service of this equipment. Headquartered in Waukesha, we have an immediate opening for an ACCOUNTANT. This is a Full Time position.

In this role, prospective candidates will serve a variety of functions as they pertain to General Accounting. Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant’s duties will include, but are not limited to:

-Various account reconciliations

-Quarterly transportation returns

-Running Month End reports

-Assisting with Month End journal entries

-Analysis and reconciliation of Warranty filings

-Aid in Accounts Payable processing

Will also be cross-trained to assist with:

-Accounts Receivable – processing incoming deposits/checks; customer account maintenance; monthly processing of interest and preparation of statements; collections

-Customer billing

-Tracking and maintenance of unit inventories and sales, incl preparation of title transfers for units sold

-Assist with the processing of monthly/quarterly sales activity

-Answering phones

-Any other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates must have a background in Accounting, with preference to those with or working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Being well organized and having a high proficiency at multi-tasking an absolute necessity. Candidates should also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience working with Excel a must, with preference to above average users.Candidates must be able to work both independently and as a team.
