Accountant-Entry Level

UCH & Affiliates owns and manages 4,000 residential apartment units and 250,000 square feet of commercial space in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The company is seeking an a ccounting professional with 0-2 years of experience f or its corporate headquarters in Bryn Mawr, PA to support all levels of its general ledger accounting operations.

Candidates are required to possess strong analytical ability and present information in an organized and succinct manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Prepare/analyze financial statements on various levels as indicated by Management (i.e. – region, state, property, etc.)

Prepare/review monthly bank reconciliations

Manage fixed assets

Balance sheet account analysis (i.e. – prepaid, accrued expenses, inter-company receivables, etc.)

Prepare monthly tax returns (i.e. – sales and use, parking, use and occupancy, etc.)

Assist management with internal and external audit functions

Special projects as requested by management

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting

0-2 years of accounting experience (including: internship, part-time, volunteer)

Experience in both cash and accrual accounting

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Strong analytical skills

Detail oriented and ability to learn quickly

Able to work within a team as well as independently with limited direction
