Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports for general ledger. Prepares a variety of monthly reports, audits and financial reviews in support of the Accounting Department. Understands and implements, as necessary, accounting systems and accounting control procedures. Requires a four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business with at least two years of experience working in the related area. Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle coverage. Required to maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications. Travels at least 20% of the time.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to the general ledger accounts.
  • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital and prepares the balance sheet, profit, and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial positions for other managers.
  • Executes month end close ensuring that all entries have been completed, all reports tie out to general ledger and reports are reviewed prior to distribution of financial statements.
  • Prepares monthly reconciliation and analysis of assigned balance sheet accounts.
  • Assists with monthly field audits and prepares field audit reports as directed by supervisor.
  • Participates in monthly financial review with each unit.
  • Assists with Treasury functions including book transfers, payroll funding, and Trust Account Administration.
  • Audits contracts and vouchers and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.

Education/Experience/Certifications/Licenses

  • Requires BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business, from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Two – three years of accounting experience.
  • Valid drivers license including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications as required.
