Our Opportunity:

The Accountant / Analyst position will be a supporting role to both the Director of Financial Reporting and Treasurer. This individual will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of PetIQ’s financial statements. The goal of this position is to create a key role within the financial reporting and budgeting areas, providing a unique opportunity to see many facets of accounting and gain invaluable work experience. The candidate must have a drive to learn and an ability to identify and create opportunities of efficiency. You’ll interact with multiple areas across the business, providing exposure to everything from operations to marketing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Preparation of financial reports, schedules and accounting analysis.
  • Report organization’s finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
  • Assist in specialized assignments related to financial analysis of new projects and or ventures.
  • Assist in development of models for budgeting, forecasting, yearly plans as well as other ad hoc analysis
  • Implementing, coordinating, and contributing to other projects that require financial review.
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to support month and quarterly close processes

What You’ll NEED:

  • 0 to 2 years’ experience, Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting or Finance preferred. Spring graduates welcome to apply.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, meet unexpected and tight deadlines, and work well under pressure – all while having fun and maintaining a positive attitude

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 to $47,000.00 /year
