Angel Fire Resort is currently currently accepting applications for a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team.

This position is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate accounting for the various operations of the Resort. This includes maintaining accounting records and performing cash audit duties.

We are looking for applicants who are extremely self-motivated, who can quickly master the resort specific accounting software that we utilize, who can develop auditing skills within the first year of employment in order to effectively audit accounting functions, and who are highly detail orientated at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
  • Verifies and posts details of daily business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases. Verifies GRT and corrects in all ledgers if necessary.
  • Completes daily uploads for Sirius as well as RDP revenue and transactions.
  • Covers cash office as needed, reconciling cash from all revenue producing departments, preparing bank deposits, issues change and cashes checks, audits daily vault, and complies collection and disbursement daily reports.
  • Assists accounts payable, inputting of purchase orders and invoices into accounting system and filing paid invoices
  • Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and processes for payment.
  • Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers, including RDP and Sirius
  • Reconciles ATM monthly
  • Reconciles postage and copier allocations and bill HOA’s for usage.
  • Reconciles intercompany accounts for charges from Sirius and RDP and transfer activity to MAS.
  • Reconciles RDP/Sirius ledgers for PMD Trust account spreadsheet for end of month transfers.
  • Exports monthly statistics from Angel Fire menu for import to MAS.
  • May assist with any other accounting functions as required

Education and Experience Requirements: Applicants should have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent; and at least six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have proficient working knowledge of standard accounting software.

Pay ranges from $13 – $16 per hour based on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, year-round position and a competitive benefits package is included. . .plus all the FUN Resort benefits.
