Accountant

Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for analyzing financial information and prepare financial reports.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides specialized or general analysis support in various accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Property Accounting and general accounting.
• Interprets accounting data, analyses reports and recommends action
• Prepares journal entries, maintains complex ledgers, reconciles and analyses specific general ledger and cost account ledgers.
• Assists in the development and installation of accounting systems, cost accounting methods, procedures and controls.
• Reviews the preparation of various financial statements, records and reports complied by accounting support.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree from a four year accredited college or university
• Three (3) years of related accounting or finance experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two (2) years of experience supporting a manufacturing organization.
• Aerospace experience.
• CPA
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and understand when escalation is important.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of any and all payroll and personnel related matters.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills.
• Proven skills in the areas of initiative, individual leadership, teamwork, collaboration and facilitation.
• Strong IT software skill set including Microsoft Office Suite experience.
