Provides accounting and clerical support to the Parking and Transportation Department.

Responsible for the daily tabulation and processing of monies ( bills and change) collected from the daily permit pay and display parking permit machines.

Oversees the data input of new parking citation and appeals the input of the appeals committee’s decisions once the appeals have been processed.

Responsible for the annual parking permit inventory and makes notification for re-order.

Oversee mailing of parking permits that are to be sent by mail through the online ordering process.

Update the citation maintenance file with citation payments.

In absence of the Parking Service Account, verifies and deposits the previous day receipts and accounts for all parking permits sold/issued.

Assists with the verification of parking citation payments received by mail.

Performs other work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a high school diploma and four years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. If minimum requirements of the position do not require post high school education, an applicant is not required to provide the information on the application.

Preferences

Knowledge of coin and bill counters, computer programs, calculator, and copier.

Ability to walk, stoop, and bend. Ability to hear well and have good vision. Should be able to effectively communicate verbally and written.

This position does not require college credits.
