Accountant

The Accountant will perform standard accounting functions including monthly closings and reporting, G/L account reconciliations, audit support, cash collections and other accounting-related duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in Monthly Financial Statement Closings

Prepare and record adjusting journal entries

Analyze account activity and reconcile balances for selected G/L accounts

Assist with plant inventory reconciliations

Assist with fixed asset accounting

Assist with foreign subsidiary books

Accounts Receivable collections and cash application

Audit support and preparation of audit work papers

Budget variance analysis

Assist with year-end physical inventories

Participate in annual financial planning process

Perform various other accounting-related duties and/or special projects as required

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. CPA a plus.

2+ years of Accounting experience.

SAP experience strongly preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, positive interpersonal skills, and proven attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively with managers including upper management, field personnel and team members.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
